Hours and Admission

The Colonel Davenport House is open from May to October on Wednesday to Saturday from 12-4 p.m. Admission includes a guided tour of the historically-furnished Colonel Davenport House and grounds. You'll see how the family lived in the 1800s and learn how the area developed.

The house is also open on Veterans Day on November 11 from 2-4 p.m.

12 yrs. and under: Free
Active Military: Free

The Rock Island Arsenal is an active military installation.  All visitors must enter through the downtown Moline (Illinois) gate.  Visitors who do not have an approved Department of Defense identification card and are 18 years old or older must obtain a visitor pass at the Visitor Control Center. It only takes a few minutes to get this pass.

To obtain a credential, visitors will need to provide driver’s license, state-issued identification card, or passport, last four digits of their Social Security number, and must complete a background check. Click here to fill out the form in advance of your visit. Residents of Minnesota, Missouri, and Washington states will need a social security card, or another approved I.D., to use with their driver’s license or state-issued identification card.

The first floor is accessible by wheelchair. The second floor access is by stairs only.
